Chapter 326: Let There Be Chaos... 4

" Tell me, Agnes, is there any information you think I would be interested in? "

Alec asked as soon as he re-joined the group.

He had learned that information was also a form of power within the academy.

"So, which one do you want to hear first, the gossip from inside the academy or outside?" Agnes asked, confidently smiling.

"Oh, wow! We now have access to information outside the academy!, That’s amazing!" Arthur exclaimed, as usual, interrupting before Alec could respond.

"Great job, Agnes. Just let me know the cost later. I have accumulated a small fortune and would be happy to pay for all the valuable information you’re providing," Alec acknowledged.

"Now that we have access to this external news, how extensive is your coverage?" Alec inquired.

"It’s not that extensive. I mainly have information about the royal capital. It’s quite difficult to obtain such intel, but I know someone who knows a noble and I get the information from him."

" Rest assured, his information is reliable. However, I won’t stop working on expanding my network and gathering more comprehensive information from other cities," Agnes explained

And Alec patted her head, playfully, causing her to pout in pretend anger.

" Let’s see the information about what’s been happening inside the academy first, " Alec requested.

As Agnes handed him a small scroll, and as he slowly opened it, but he couldn’t help but burst into laughter after reading the first paragraph.

"Oh my God, I can’t believe this!, That jerk had been given the opportunity to enter the second Dimension"

" He goes around preaching that noble mages should always lead in strength and everything, while simultaneously telling mid-tier clans like ours not to forget their place as beneath them."

" But the hypocrite had to rely on our achievements to convince his instructor to let him go and make his own name. What a joke," Alec expressed, amused.

"I don’t want to read anything else about the academy. It’s all much more boring than Pale Zero’s news. All I see here is a bunch of mages whining about not being able to enter the Abyss, as if it’s some kind of child’s playground. I just wonder how many of them will end up dying in Pale’s group," Alec remarked.

They had only tested the waters before giving up, However, their attacks had now intensified, breaking through the gates and even claiming the life of a monarch.

It felt as though a full-scale war was descending upon the human realm, and the prolonged duration of the Blood Moon only exacerbated the situation.

This extended period worked to the advantage of the Second Dimension races, allowing them to remain in the human realm for longer than initially intended.

Alec couldn’t shake the feeling that the Abyss monarchs had something to do with this lengthening, but as an ordinary Low Rank Mage, he knew he had no power to change or dictate the course of events in the realm.

It seemed that only those at the pinnacle who possessed Monarch Realm power could involve themselves in such high-stakes battles, and still yet their lives where not secured.

After much contemplation, Alec sighed and turned to his gang, deciding to put these thoughts aside for now.

It wasn’t yet his game to play, so he would stick to his own level.

" Forget this. We’ll all head into the Abyss and take down more Orcs or Plant monsters. Anyone who comes our way, we’ll skewer them until we gather enough power stones to push ourselves further and break through our limitations," Alec encouraged them.

"Oh, before we go, let’s all have a meal. It’s been a while since you all tasted my food,"

Agnes chimed in with a smile on her face that made it clear no one was going anywhere without eating.

The gang nervously smiled, silently praying that their cause of death wouldn’t come from eating Agnes’ cooking.

"Okay, Agnes. We’ll take a break and have a meal before diving back into the Abyss," Alec replied with a dry laugh, causing Agnes to bounce back to her side to retrieve the pot of food she had prepared.

"Hey, brother, pass me that poison antidote. I’m going to need it," Arthur quickly closed in on Knight and collected a sack of poison antidote from him.

Knight had become accustomed to Agnes’s food poisoning, and he made sure to carry a bunch of antidotes to help lessen the pain that accompanied her cooking.

He even charged everyone, including Alec, for these antidotes, which led to him being beaten up after flaunting his collection of power stones.

"Why do I always have to be the one getting beaten?" Knight complained from the ground as everyone left him behind.
